21 Hours

Shivanasamudra Waterfall
Life is full of surprises and we need to unlock them. Just another surprise was the one on May 14 this very year. Just after returning from college in the afternoon, my awesome friends and my brethren made a plan to go for trip. Interestingly the place was not decided. Just the plan to go out of the city and the "team". Left at 3 in the afternoon we traveled to Mysore and then to the waterfall- Shivanasamudra. With no petrol in the car we began the journey and returned the next afternoon at 12. Some of the hurdles like fuel tank empty on a lonely road at midnight were crossed at pace.
The time we left the city, there was no petrol in the car. We began the journey and eventually on the course we found the refueling pumps. We drove to Mysore and reached around 6 in the evening. Amazed by the churches in the city, we all decided to go inside the church. It was a first time experience for me to go inside the church. The peace to mind came when I was blessed by the father of the church along with my "team". Then from there we went to Mysore Palace but not everything goes as by wish. It started raining when we just entered the Palace and the car was parked at a remarkable distance. Just somehow the "team" managed to reach to the car though not very much wet. We headed towards "Planet X" where spent much of our quality time by enjoying "Pool", unfortunately the HOOKA region being restricted to couples only. Now was the time to go to out of the city and much to fun or fate, the car ran out of fuel on a lonely road at 11:20 in the night while on the way to Shivanasamudra. Full black out, not even a single ray of light, the "extra" silence of the forest, our own sound echoing and we thrusting the car manually on a less down trodden road was an adventurous experience for all of us. During this time we were planning " how to escape if we meet some 'night riders' who wish to rob or kill us?". Stuck midway, we received help by a stranger and refueled the car at a nearby refuel pump, but let me say the pump wasn't that nearby for thrusting a car manually. Would have surely taken out our balls. Refueled, we resumed to the journey and arrived at a family PUNJABI DHABA where we stayed for nearly 2 hours. Enjoyed the food with the "team". The journey was then resumed at 2:30 a.m. Left for the waterfall but found insufficient fuel. So we searched for refueling pump way back to Mysore and drove nearly 40 k.m. just to find a pump thats open also we were out of cash so ATM was also in list. We came across more than 20 pumps but all were closed as most of them were not 24x7 and the rest due to price hike. Now this was way out of hell- no pump open, trip to waterfall almost cancelled. Then we had to wait forcefully for the next 1 and a half-hour until the pumps were open in the morning 5. Back on the track with enough fuel, we flew to the waterfall at a very high speed and sexy driving by one our friend and reached waterfall at 6. Much to surprise, as soon as we reached the gate, it was opened to people. We didn't have to stop the car and speedily marched towards waterfall and sensed the rising sun and noise that had a soothing effect. Went for a swim, though was not safe for the task. We certainly enjoyed the ride way back from swimming area to the area we parked the car. Completely tired, out of cash and starving we head back to Bangalore and reached friends home at 12 sharp.
There we slept for a couple of hours and then returned to the hostel at 6:15 in the evening. Got refresh and dinner and peacefully went to bed. Obviously I went to bed peacefully, what else could I have done- I was not in a condition to say even a single word. Well that was the whole story of 21 hours and plus "6 hours" that I spent with my "team". Waiting for another legendary trip !!
